We are a non-profit making, distributing, voluntary organisation which seeks to improve the well-being, quality of life, and opportunities of the people of Hawick and its environs by bringing together local community and voluntary organisations to work with public agencies to enhance the town’s social, cultural, recreational, and educational facilities, together with its environment and economy. To help these objectives, we provide a resource centre for administration, information support, equipment hire, and meetings and is involved in local regeneration works and projects.
The Trust’s purposes are to:
- benefit principally the community of Hawick through the advancement of community development, including regeneration.
- improve the wellbeing, quality of life and opportunities of the people of the Hawick area by bringing together local community and voluntary organisations to work with the public agencies to enhance the town’s social, cultural, recreational and educational facilities, environment and economy that are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
